A dense barrage of fist-sized hailstones fell from the sky, carrying a biting chill! This time, the ogres had nowhere to hide. Though they were well trained and dropped flat on the ground, the wagons loaded with stones offered no protection now. Brains splattered as a hailstone smashed an ogre's skull to pieces. His headless corpse lay sprawled on the ground, slowly encased in solid ice until it became an ice sculpture.

The same scene played out again and again. In that instant, the ogres were wiped out.

Wiping out every ogre seemed like a glorious victory, but the mage squad was effectively out of action too. Their mana had been exhausted, and a mage without mana was useless. Kael'thas ordered the mages to meditate and recover their mana.
