Woooo!

The deep blare of a horn resounded across the battlefield, and the gnolls advanced steadily to its call.

Gnolls resembled hyenas, with humanoid bodies, and walked upright on two legs. Their social structure was loose, and true to their lupine nature, they liked to gather in packs. Whenever they appeared, they moved in groups.

Their exposed muscles bulged in distinct slabs. These gnolls were not fat, but they looked exceptionally sturdy, especially with their height of eight feet. No, converting that to meters would make it easier to picture: 2.43 meters, only about half a meter shorter than the ogre that had just displayed its might.

They carried vicious flails. Each had a rod-shaped handle and a spiked head covered in sharp points, joined by an iron chain. Wielding such a weapon required considerable strength. The requirements were demanding, but once met, it became an extraordinarily brutal instrument of slaughter on the battlefield.

Weapons like these were best suited to charging assaults. Standing atop the wall, Rex watched the weapons in the advancing gnolls' hands, sneered, and raised his greatsword high.

In the game, gnolls were unremarkable, merely one of the many kinds of Creeps players killed to level up. In Azeroth, however, they were a race that could not be ignored. They were vicious, savage, and powerful. They regarded all creatures—including their own kin—as food. Everything they did was driven by hunger. Money and magic could not sway them; appetite alone motivated them.

Gnolls took on many roles: bandits, mercenaries, and more.

All they wanted was a share of what others had. Gnolls would share your good fortune, but never your hardships. How long one cooperated with you depended entirely on whether you were strong enough and kept him well fed.

Food was everything to gnolls!
