King Genn was quite surprised by Rex's return.
After Rex became the Regent of Gilneas, King Genn began withdrawing from the spotlight. During that time, Rex had taken over the Kingdom of Gilneas's affairs.
But when war broke out with the Burning Legion again and Rex went to the front, King Genn naturally stepped forward once more to handle the Kingdom of Gilneas's affairs.
Especially while Rex was away in Outland, King Genn's presence at home kept the Kingdom of Gilneas as steady as a rock.
King Genn had been crowned decades ago, and his rule had won the people's deep trust. With a string of great victories to his name, there was nothing to tarnish his standing.
Naturally, King Genn's health was not something a little rest alone could restore. He was already quite old. In the original history, he had remained so valiant and capable in battle because a Worgen had bitten him. Becoming a Worgen had restored his youthful vigor and given him a strong body again, bringing him back to his prime.
Now that Yang Qifeng had struck against the Worgen, no one had summoned them back then, so none of that had happened.
