Thrall? Why had he suddenly gotten involved?
Rex was startled by Tirion Fordring's words. To him, the fact that this incident had even drawn Thrall's attention was rather incredible.
Although Rex now held a high position, he still fell short of Thrall. After all, Thrall was the Horde's Warchief, while Rex was merely the Regent of the Kingdom of Gilneas and, at most, a Marshal of the Alliance Expedition in Outland. He had no authority whatsoever to interfere in any nation outside the Kingdom of Gilneas.
Thrall was different. As the Horde's Warchief, he theoretically had authority over all its other races, not just the Orcs.
The Horde cared even more about Zangarmarsh than he did. That was Rex's first impression after hearing Tirion Fordring's words, but he immediately realized something was wrong. The timing simply did not work.
News of the defeat suffered by the Allied Forces formed by the Horde and the Alliance had only emerged in the past two days. There simply had not been enough time.
The Horde's situation was very different from the Alliance's. The Alliance had archmages proficient in teleportation. Whenever Rex wanted to go somewhere, an archmage only needed to open a portal.
Things were different for the Horde. Even if they wanted to open a portal, they could not find anyone capable of doing so.
None of the Horde's races were proficient in magic. The Orcs, for example, practiced the ways of the Shaman, drawing upon the elements of the world and worshipping their ancestral spirits.
The Trolls were somewhat different. Their distinctive class was the Witch Doctor, which represented their race's spellcasting power.
The Witch Doctor class had not been represented in the game at all. After coming to this world, however, Rex had studied it carefully while researching the Trolls.
