At Rex's command, one Steam Tank after another began advancing toward the Goblin Shop. Strangely enough, the vast grassland leading to the shop had undergone a tremendous change after the Warcraft System World expanded this time. It had turned into stretches of ravines, dividing the land into disconnected sections. Yet the roads linking them were just wide enough for a single Steam Tank to pass. Rex suspected this was no coincidence, but something the Warcraft System had deliberately arranged.
Whatever the reason, Rex was now riding on a Steam Tank. Although there was no room for him inside, he had found a place to sit on its exterior. The Steam Tank jolted constantly as it traveled. Given a choice, Rex would never have ridden one. If he had entertained the idea of using a Steam Tank as a mount beforehand, he abandoned it completely after this ride. It simply wasn't feasible.
He could endure it once or twice, but never for long. If this constant jolting continued, Rex believed even his bones would be shaken apart.
Barely managing to stay seated on the Steam Tank, Rex headed toward the Goblin Shop.
The journey passed quickly enough. Though the Steam Tank was uncomfortable to ride and shook violently, it was much faster than traveling on foot.
Upon arriving outside the Goblin Shop, Rex immediately spotted the Cannon Towers erected before him.
Twenty Cannon Towers might not sound like many on their own, but arranged in two staggered rows, they made quite an impressive sight.
Rex had prepared thoroughly for this attack on the Ironclad Men outside the Goblin Shop. He had brought not only Steam Tanks but troops of every type, including Gyrocopters. Apart from Steam Tanks, Gyrocopters were the units capable of inflicting heavy casualties on these Ironclad Men.
