The sight before Rex was extremely familiar. Naturally, that sense of familiarity came from having seen these things before. Otherwise, how could he have recognized them?
After all, you could hardly feel familiar with a stranger.
Looking at the familiar pills, Rex fixed his gaze on the Goblin.
As though he had noticed Rex's expression, the Goblin smiled openly and said, "These are still Experience Pills, but their effects are nothing like those of the earlier ones. These were specially formulated for breaking through to Demigod. If someone at Heroic rank, or anyone else below Heroic strength, for example, took them, they would be completely useless. Even swallowing them would have no effect."
"Because these Experience Pills are specifically intended for breaking through to Demigod."
The Goblin began explaining the Experience Pills, continuing to boast. "These Experience Pills are absolutely perfect for someone like you, Rex. With them, you'll soon accumulate enough experience to attempt your breakthrough to Demigod."
Words poured endlessly from the Goblin's mouth. At that moment, he seemed divinely inspired. Rex did not interrupt him, and he kept talking, one sentence after another. After rattling off a whole stream of words in one breath, the Goblin only paused when he ran out of air. He stopped briefly to catch his breath, then resumed bombarding Rex with his endless patter.
From the Goblin's description, these Experience Pills might as well have been crafted by the gods. Not only were they beautiful enough to win an award for the best design, but their flavor was second to none. As for their medicinal effects, those needed no explanation: they were the finest in the world, with absolutely no equal. Rex shook his head as he listened. The Goblin's opening remarks had been reasonable enough, but his boasts grew increasingly far-fetched.
