Rex received a grand welcome when he returned to Gilneas. King Genn would never let such an opportunity to raise Rex's prestige slip by. The lavish celebrations lasted an entire day, on a scale Gilneas had not seen in recent years.

After a busy day, Rex felt exhausted. He still was not used to events like these, but it was not time to rest yet. Forcing himself to stay alert, he made his way into the Royal Palace. His father in this life had plenty of objections to his recent actions; Rex had noticed earlier that day that he had not offered him so much as a pleasant look. Rex himself also needed a long talk with his father. He had many plans he needed to start putting into action. Building cannon towers and defensive towers along the Greymane Wall needed to be put on the agenda.

Although Rex had already begun making preparations for many things, without King Genn's approval, they would be like duckweed without roots. All his efforts would go to waste. Still, securing approval for the defensive towers would not be difficult.
