Finn's "question bank" contained only those Dragon Script glyphs, twisted like dense forests and sacred as totems, with their presumed meanings scrawled beside them in crooked handwriting.
He scratched his messy hair and explained, "You can still find ways to get the glyphs, but standard Dragon Script pronunciation is another matter. Either Hybrids with bloodlines resonate with it naturally, or you need the Academy's precious alchemical equipment to play it back in its original form.
"If I'd known Junior Brother Lu needed this stuff, I might've been able to think of another way. But time's too tight now. There's simply no time."
Finn spread his hands, indicating that there was nothing more he could do.
"You don't know them?" Lu Mingfei asked.
"If I knew them all, would I still be F-rank?" Finn answered bluntly.
The corner of Lu Mingfei's mouth twitched slightly... That was one powerful argument!
"It's fine. Having these glyphs is already not bad." Amon patted Lu Mingfei on the shoulder. "Come on, Junior Brother Lu."
Lu Mingfei froze. "Where are we going?"
"Special training." Amon was concise. "We'll probably be studying late. We can't exactly disturb Senior Brother Finn's rest here."
As he spoke, he gave Finn, curled up in the corner, a smile that said, "See how considerate I am?"
Finn hurriedly stuck a hand out from beneath his blanket and waved them away, wishing they would leave at once.
"Go, go! I wish Junior Brother Lu victory at the first stroke tomorrow! My poor heart can't take you causing any more trouble!"
And just like that, Lu Mingfei was led out of Dorm 303 by Amon and into Amon's room next door.
Unlike the dorm he shared with Finn, which was piled with trash and miscellaneous clutter and brimmed with signs of daily life,
