He could almost conclude with certainty that the target of these uninvited guests was the precious artifact the Principal had just brought back from China—the Bone Cinerary Urn of the Dragon King Norton!
Although Principal Angers had never explicitly revealed where this secret treasure was kept, everyone knew that it had to be stored in the most heavily guarded location at the college—the "Ice Cellar."
This underground sanctuary had only three entrances, hidden beneath Valhalla, the Church, and the Library.
Schneider swiftly made his arrangements. He had the Student Union guard Valhalla, the Lionheart Society hold the Church, while the Library, under NOMA's round-the-clock surveillance, needed only a small number of people for support.
At that moment, Valhalla was brightly lit.
The Student Union's elites had already taken up every strategic point. Sniper rifles set up high above gleamed coldly under the moonlight.
The squads signaled to one another with flashlight beams, light and shadow crisscrossing among the weathered stone pillars.
"These intruders are hiding damn well," one student muttered, his finger tense on the trigger.
"Their operation is too professional. They must have mapped out the college's terrain beforehand."

"Probably not. The college is a semi-open environment to begin with. It isn't hard to get a general layout."
"I suspect they aren't Dragon Kind at all, but some other Hybrid organization. Otherwise, why would the professors tell us to use only Frigg Bullets instead of live ammunition? They clearly want to take them alive."
"Or maybe they're afraid of stray bullets hitting our own people."
As they talked, none of them noticed that barely twenty meters away, the gap less than twenty centimeters wide between Kassel College's Valhalla and Rhine Hall was crammed with uninvited guests.
