All the Saints looked surprised. The Human Race already occupied more than half the Primordial World's land, much of it fertile and prosperous. Since the Witch and Demon Clans had withdrawn, humanity had developed rapidly.
The Human Race was already the largest race in the Primordial World. Though its strength was lacking, its sheer numbers made up for that.
The Saints did not understand what the Dao Ancestor meant by humanity flourishing. What would truly count as flourishing?
The Human Race already occupied vast stretches of the Primordial World. Were they to expand north and south, or advance west? If so, it would likely spark a Three-Clan War between humans, witches, and demons. None of them understood.
Laozi asked in puzzlement, "Teacher, naturally, your disciple has no objection to the Human Race flourishing. But what arrangements do you have in mind?"
Hongjun glanced at Laozi and explained, "For the Human Race to flourish, the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors must be appointed. They must contribute to humanity and thereby anchor its Fortune. When the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors return to their rightful places, humanity will flourish and never decline again."
