A treasure?

Only after a long while did Liu Xing finally come to his senses. He tore his gaze away from those two luscious mounds, whose deadly allure came with no liability for lives lost, and began examining her carefully from head to toe.

The Black-Clad Woman's upper body was **** at that moment, giving her an indescribable allure. Liu Xing had no idea where he found such tremendous willpower, but he forcibly resisted the temptation and steadied his mind.

A string of tiny prayer beads rested against the Black-Clad Woman's slender, fair neck. Each bead was only the size of a grain of rice, deep black in color, with a faint radiance shining through, as though an endless starry sky lay hidden within.

These prayer beads were clearly no ordinary object. Could they be the treasure the Five Uglies of Meng Mountain had mentioned?

A fine white metal chain was attached to the beads, extending all the way into the deep **** of the Black-Clad Woman, like a cleft formed by nature itself.

Between her alluring, full breasts, a small bronze-colored square box hung from the end of the metal chain. It was about the size of a lighter, its surface engraved with strange, indescribable patterns that gave it an ancient, unadorned air.

With the fullness of the Black-Clad Woman's breasts, it would have been impossible to tell that such an object was hidden between her **** without reaching in to feel for it.

Could this little square box, concealed so discreetly against the Black-Clad Woman's body, be the supposed treasure?

Curiosity stirred in Liu Xing's heart. He unfastened the metal chain and took the Small Copper Box in his hand. Of course, while retrieving it, he did not forget to cop a feel of that luscious mound, which brought an altogether different, indescribable thrill.

The Small Copper Box was not heavy in his hand and seemed to be hollow. Yet when Liu Xing turned it over to examine it, he found no lock. All he could tell was that its upper and lower halves were clasped together.

The patterns on the copper box were exquisite, but Liu Xing could not discern their mysteries. Had a knowledgeable cultivator been there instead, they would have recognized the engraved patterns as a small confinement formation.

What could possibly be confined inside such a tiny copper box? Still, the box gave off not the slightest trace of spiritual energy, evidently because the confinement formation was doing its work.

Tracing the formation's patterns carefully would reveal that all the lines ultimately converged into a tiny Eight Trigrams design that held the copper box shut. However, this design was engraved on the box rather than being a lock.

What exactly was inside this tiny Small Copper Box?

Unable to restrain his curiosity, Liu Xing tried hard to pry the copper box apart, but it did not budge.

With Liu Xing's current grip strength, even a solid lump of copper would have been crushed flat if he exerted his full strength, yet he could do nothing to this copper box. Clearly, it was no ordinary object.

After studying it once more, Liu Xing turned his attention to the Eight Trigrams design. Instinctively, he extended his thumb and pressed down hard on it. Sure enough, he felt it give slightly.

This tiny Eight Trigrams design was precisely the core of the confinement formation. Ordinary force would not have been enough to destroy it, but the strength in Liu Xing's thumb approached a thousand jin. With no additional protection placed over the formation's core, he actually broke it through sheer force.

As the formation's core loosened, the confinement formation ceased to function. Liu Xing felt the copper box suddenly spring open in his palm, and a dazzling burst of golden light shot out of it.

Liu Xing's six senses were keen. Although he could not cultivate, he could still sense that this erupting golden light was an extremely dense mass of spiritual energy, carrying considerable power. Its might could even rival the Black-Clad Woman's final strike.

Such a spiritual energy attack erupting directly in Liu Xing's hand was utterly impossible to evade. Strangely, however, he took this ferocious strike as though nothing had happened. All the golden light that struck him sank soundlessly into his body. Apart from making him feel a sudden chill within, it caused no other change whatsoever.

Liu Xing was somewhat bewildered. He assumed that although the golden light contained powerful energy, it had no offensive power and had simply dispersed after erupting. It never occurred to him that his body had absorbed the golden spiritual energy attack.

Had another cultivator witnessed this, they would certainly have found it extremely strange and might immediately have wanted to study just what sort of monster Liu Xing was. How could he withstand such a powerful spiritual energy attack with a mortal body?

As for concentrating such dense spiritual energy inside that tiny copper box, then concealing every last trace of its fluctuations with nothing more than such a small confinement formation, that was already a grandmaster-level feat.

At that moment, however, Liu Xing could make neither head nor tail of it. All he saw was a yellow phantom suddenly springing out of the Small Copper Box after the golden spiritual energy erupted. Fortunately, his eyes were sharp, and he clearly made out the phantom's appearance in an instant.

The yellow phantom had a round, plump body topped with a small, rabbit-like head. Its two long ears kept twitching, and its little red eyes darted ceaselessly about.

The yellow phantom was about the same size as a real rabbit, but it clearly could not have been corporeal, since the tiny copper box could never have held something so large. Yet it was so vividly lifelike that it seemed no different from a living animal.

The yellow phantom's two little nostrils above its three-lobed mouth twitched, as though it were tracking something by scent. Finally, its darting eyes settled on Liu Xing.

Was opening the copper box and releasing this strange yellow phantom a blessing or a curse?

The thought had barely crossed Liu Xing's mind when the yellow phantom hovering in the air suddenly moved, shooting straight toward him like an arrow.

Liu Xing reacted swiftly and hastily tried to dodge, but the yellow phantom was even faster. Like racing thunder and flashing lightning, it shot toward him and sank straight into his body in an instant.

In that very instant, Liu Xing felt a thunderous boom within his divine sense, raising a towering surge of waves.
