Left with no other choice, Guanyin Bodhisattva could only hand Xu Tong over.
Once the matter was settled, Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva and Buddha Tathagata entered a secret chamber.
"Thank you for your help this time, Master."
Buddha Tathagata bowed directly to Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva.
No one knew that the current Buddha Tathagata was actually Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva's disciple!
"Wasn't preparing for situations like this precisely why I never revealed that you were my disciple?"
Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva could not help laughing.
They were both thoroughly satisfied with this outcome.
Although it appeared that Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva and Buddha Tathagata had turned against each other,
everyone had misunderstood what was happening.
Master and disciple had schemed against the entire Buddhist Order!
"Quite a few people in the Buddhist Order now harbor other intentions."
Buddha Tathagata could not help shaking his head as he said this.
His tenure as Buddha Tathagata had hardly been a failure.
After all, he had Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva's support.
Under those circumstances, he naturally enjoyed many advantages.
Yet even with those advantages, quite a few people had long since begun harboring other intentions.
"This was something we anticipated long ago. Why take it so seriously?"
Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva clearly did not care about such matters at all.
He had lived through far too much.
At one point in the past, their Buddhist Order had even contained many people from the Heavenly Court.
Such a thing was utterly unimaginable, yet it had truly happened.
Having lived through an era like that, Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva had truly learned to take many things lightly.
Thus, the Buddhist Order's current situation could actually be considered quite favorable.
"Even so, I still find it hard to accept."
