Inside Taiqing Hall, Laozi sat cross-legged in the main seat, a fly-whisk in his hand and his eyes half closed. His bearing had the ethereal grace of an immortal, inspiring involuntary reverence in the bear.
"Greetings, Supreme Pure Sage." Gungun came to the steps, lay flat on the floor, and offered Laozi a Full Prostration.
Laozi slowly opened his eyes and looked down at the plump bear. A faint smile crossed his face as he said, "Rise. It has been some time since your last visit."
"Recently, the conflict between the witches and demons has grown increasingly fierce. Even with the Dao Ancestor's sacred decree, a great war nearly broke out. Only the suppression of the Saints has allowed the Primordial World to enjoy peace. As a Witch Scribe, this little bear has had to soothe the Witch Race and prevent war. The pressure on my shoulders... has been considerable, and there have been many things to do, so..." Gungun climbed up from the floor and spoke softly with his head bowed.
"Mm." Hearing Gungun's explanation, Laozi gave a low hum and nodded. The bear knew to soothe the Witch Race and strive to prevent war. I... did not misjudge this bear.
With that thought, Laozi offered Gungun a word of comfort. "Thank you for your efforts."
"This little bear has received your teachings, Sage, inheriting the way of Yin-Yang and upholding the art of balance. I have not dared forget them for a single day. In today's Primordial World, the Demon Race, which rules the Heavenly Court, is yang, while the Witch Race, which rules the earth, is yin. Only when yin and yang are balanced can the Primordial World enjoy peace. If that balance is lost, all living beings will suffer a terrible calamity." Gungun bowed to Laozi
