An incense stick later, Gungun strode out of the Nine Hells with the demon decree Taiyi had written using the power of his primordial spirit.
Yes, after that long conversation with Gungun, perhaps out of guilt toward Ao Yue, or perhaps out of concern for the demon race and a desire to entrust them to someone reliable, Taiyi had called Gungun back and asked the bear to unseal part of his primordial spirit so he could write the decree.
With Taiyi inside the forbidden grounds of the Nine Hells, locked in a cage covered in runes, Gungun was not worried about him causing trouble. After feigning hesitation for a while, the bear agreed, and the decree was written.
However, Taiyi instructed Gungun to give the decree to Ao Yue only if he changed his mind in the future and became willing to lead the demon race. If Ao Yue still wanted nothing more to do with them, Taiyi hoped that, for the sake of their friendship, Gungun would keep the decree safe and never give it to him.
Gungun agreed to Taiyi's instruction-or rather, his request.
Because the bear believed that when the situation reached that point, reality would force Ao Yue to make the decision Gungun wanted.
Stepping through the gates of the Nine Hells, Gungun looked down at the demon decree, pursed those lips, and thought uneasily, It's settled, but... there doesn't seem to be anything in it for me. Not only that, Houtu kicked me for no reason.
"Whoosh~" With that thought, Gungun put the demon decree into the minor world the bear carried around, then conjured a Flat Peach and took small bites while pondering what to do next.
Rebel?
That's something to toy with in my head, nothing more.
