The New Heavenly Laws had appeared.
Those words spread throughout the Primordial World. Gungun, inside the Heavenly Emperor Palace, naturally heard them too. Not only that, the bear saw the purple divine stone containing the New Heavenly Laws hurtling toward the Heavenly Court.
At once, Gungun declared, "Welcome the New Heavenly Laws!"
The Heavenly Emperor's voice reached the ears of every Heavenly God in the Heavenly Court. Soon, all the deities left their respective divine palaces and gathered outside the South Heaven Gate to welcome the stone.
As the divine stone entered the Heavenly Court, a hum rang out. An immensely powerful, mysterious force enveloped the entire Heavenly Court. The old Heavenly Laws established by the Primordial Heavenly Venerable lost their authority, and the New Heavenly Laws arose in answer to destiny, becoming the new order governing the Heavenly Court and even the entire Primordial World.
Many provisions in the New Heavenly Laws differed from the original ones, with the restrictions concerning marriage relaxed considerably.
First, Heavenly Gods were permitted to marry one another. The Divine Marriage Hall would be established under the supervision of the Old Man Under the Moon.
Second, Heavenly Gods and mortals were also permitted to be together, provided they met certain conditions.
These included allowing a Heavenly God to marry only one mortal. Even after that mortal died a natural death, the god could only seek out that mortal's reincarnation as a future spouse. Naturally, that reincarnation also had to fall in love with them. Furthermore, marriages between Heavenly Gods and mortals were protected by the Heavenly Laws. After marrying, gods could not use their magic power to bully or even abandon their mortal spouses merely because they had grown tired of them.
After marrying mortals, deities also had to conceal their identities in the
