Qiu Shan Uchiha stared blankly at the giant table tennis paddle design on the wall-the Uchiha clan crest-and sank into thought.
It had been three years. Qiu Shan Uchiha had never expected to transmigrate, much less into the Uchiha Clan in Naruto. But couldn't you have sent me back a little earlier? What the hell were you thinking, dropping me here just a few years before Uchiha Itachi massacred the clan?
Qiu Shan Uchiha was under enormous pressure. Although he was a few years older than Uchiha Itachi, he simply lacked the combat talent of Itachi and Shisui Uchiha.
Being a Shinobi really did take talent. Over the past few years, his foreknowledge and transmigration perk—powerful mental energy—had helped him develop his Sharingan to three tomoe. Those eyes had also earned him the name Uchiha Copying Eye, striking fear into his enemies and giving him a measure of fame. Still, his combat talent was no match for those who seemed to have cheat codes, like Minato Namikaze and Uchiha Itachi. He simply couldn't compare to them.
Minato Namikaze had no Kekkei Genkai and no clan backing. At first, he had relied on just one technique, Flying Thunder God, to surpass an entire generation in Konoha and become Hokage.
Although Uchiha Itachi possessed the Mangekyō Sharingan, he fought with his intelligence, not his eyes. The Mangekyō was merely icing on the cake.
Just look at how many years he had possessed the Mangekyō. He still hadn't gone blind when he fought his younger brother Sasuke, even if he had held back enormously. Then look at Sasuke Uchiha. How long had he possessed the Mangekyō before he was nearly blind and needed his brother's eyes to attain the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan?
Even now, although Qiu Shan Uchiha was a few years older than Uchiha Itachi and both possessed the Three-Tomoe Sharingan, he still couldn't gain the upper hand when they sparred. He had reached three tomoe a whole year before Itachi, too. With both his physical advantage and his greater mastery of the Sharingan, he could only manage a draw. Once Itachi awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, wouldn't he lose in a single exchange?
Sasuke Uchiha would soon be entering the Ninja Academy. That meant Shisui Uchiha's death and Itachi's massacre of the clan weren't far off, either. He didn't have much time left.
Just then, Qiu Shan Uchiha suddenly heard a mechanical voice inside his head. "In recognition of the host's proficiency with the Sharingan, the Sharingan Upgrade System has been activated."
The sudden voice startled Qiu Shan Uchiha, and he shot to his feet.
Am I under a genjutsu? Probably not. My mental energy is exceptional even within the Uchiha Clan. Even if it were a Mangekyō Sharingan, I might not be able to break free, but I should at least notice something wrong. It couldn't be the Yamanaka Clan, either. They don't have that kind of ability.
In that case, my transmigrator cheat must have finally arrived.
At that thought, Qiu Shan Uchiha steadied himself and silently commanded, Open the system.
After spending most of the day experimenting, he finally figured out what his cheat did.
The system had a simple, singular purpose: helping its host evolve his Sharingan.
The method of evolution was even simpler: copying and learning, with learning taking things a step beyond copying.
Copying was merely copying. Learning meant studying and digesting what he had copied until it became his own, ultimately turning it into nourishment for his Sharingan's advancement.
At his current stage, his Sharingan was already powerful enough to learn the Dōjutsu unique to the Mangekyō Sharingan.
Qiu Shan Uchiha touched his eyes. He hadn't expected his cheat to arrive at such a timely moment.
Previously, he had only been capable of protecting himself and had planned to sneak away before Itachi massacred the clan. As for his fellow Uchiha, he had only dared to secretly save a few people close to him, not cause a major disturbance. He had been afraid of attracting the attention of Obito Uchiha, the Third Hokage, and Danzo.
Now, though, with such a powerful cheat, he should be able to stay alive even if he caused a major commotion-as long as he played his cards right.
Qiu Shan Uchiha closed the system panel, furrowed his brow, and began considering where he should go next to learn Dōjutsu.
With his Sharingan's current strength, he could only copy two Dōjutsu, one for each eye.
And at present, only a handful of Uchiha had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan.
Judging by the timeline, Shisui Uchiha should already have awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan. Itachi's Mangekyō should awaken when Shisui died, so it wasn't time yet.
The other options were clan leader Uchiha Fugaku's Mangekyō Sharingan, that turncoat Obito's Mangekyō Sharingan, and Kakashi's Sharingan-the latter two were a pair.
What he really wanted right now was Obito Uchiha's ocular Dōjutsu. Its offensive power might be somewhat lacking, but its ability to keep him alive was absolutely top-tier. He could also store things in the Kamui Dimension, or even put people inside.
But even if he wanted to copy and learn it now, he had no way of finding Obito.
Qiu Shan Uchiha could only secretly drool over Obito's Dōjutsu. There was nothing he could do about it now; he would have to make plans for it later.
For now, Shisui Uchiha's Mangekyō Sharingan technique would be the easiest to learn. Besides, apart from Obito's Kamui, Shisui's Kotoamatsukami was arguably the most powerful Dōjutsu. It could alter a person's thoughts without them even noticing and deserved to be called the ultimate genjutsu eye.
There was also Uchiha Fugaku's Mangekyō Sharingan. Its abilities remained unknown even after his death. He had kept that secret buried deep. It made sense, really. Both his sons had the potential to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan, and he was the Uchiha Clan's leader. How could he not have awakened it himself?
That left the Mangekyō Sharingan of Uchiha Itachi and his younger brother, Sasuke Uchiha. Sasuke still had a long way to go, and Itachi probably hadn't awakened his yet. Once he received news of Shisui Uchiha's death, however, he should awaken it.
So the Dōjutsu he had the best chance of obtaining now was Shisui Uchiha's Kotoamatsukami. But he would have to use his wits, not force. Besides, even if he wanted to take it by force, he couldn't beat Shisui.
Shisui Uchiha's reputation as Body Flicker Shisui far outstripped his own. He couldn't have beaten Shisui even before he awakened the Mangekyō, let alone now.
Thinking about it, his life as a transmigrator was pretty miserable. He couldn't beat anyone.
Qiu Shan Uchiha sighed and stopped dwelling on that depressing thought.
Now he needed to find Shisui Uchiha and persuade him to let him copy his Dōjutsu and learn the ultimate genjutsu-Kotoamatsukami.
Only then could he change the fates of Shisui Uchiha, Uchiha Itachi, and the Uchiha Clan.
I refuse to believe that our mighty Uchiha Clan will still be wiped out by you without a sound.
Qiu Shan Uchiha gritted his teeth. Three tomoe abruptly appeared in his black eyes, spinning faster and faster until their tails seemed to join into a single line.
Before you continue
