Aegon glanced over the ruins of Tumbleton. His gaze was calm, and he felt nothing in particular.

It was as though this were merely some trivial matter.

Even though this destruction had erased a stretch of land from the world, leaving an eternal scar upon the continent.

He patted King Ghidorah's pale golden scales. No words were needed.

The two shared a mental bond and had no need to communicate through words. King Ghidorah understood his intent, spread his wings, and flew south.

This castle, built during the Age of Heroes, had stood for thousands of years.

The entire castle was built of white marble, with fountains throughout its gardens, flowers blooming year-round, and rose vines climbing every colonnade. It was recognized as the most beautiful castle in the Seven Kingdoms.

And now, this beautiful castle was burning.

Orange-red flames shone against the white stone walls, making the entire castle seem submerged in a sea of blood.

Soldiers of the Starry Warriors poured in like ants.

Greedy flames set every part of the castle ablaze.

Smoke billowed, and wails and pleas for mercy mingled with cruel laughter and the sounds of slaughter, rising into the sky.

House Tyrell's rose banner was torn from the battlements and fell into the mud.

A foot in a worn-out boot stamped down on it, leaving a filthy footprint on the golden rose.

The soldier stood on the banner as though he had all of Highgarden beneath his feet.

His face flushed with excitement, he ran breathlessly up to a burly man. "My lord, we've breached the main building too. The Tyrells were all hiding there."

"We surrounded them and killed two. The one left was pretty capable, though. He broke out of the main building with a dozen or so men."
