She understood what they were saying-although this inferior Ghiscari variant of Valyrian sounded like a jumble of gibberish to her, she could still grasp its meaning clearly.
She knew some Low Valyrian herself, scraps she had picked up during her years of exile in the Free Cities with her brother Viserys.
But she had nothing but contempt for the idea of answering these slave traders in such a crude tongue.
Daenerys spoke.

They could only guess from the few syllables they understood that this queen was probably introducing herself, and that her tone carried undisguised arrogance.
