Atop a tower of the Red Keep, Sansa stood looking toward the distant square outside the Great Sept of Baelor.

She wanted to see what was happening there, but it was too far away to make anything out. Still, she could hear the bursts of cheering from the crowd.

"Sansa?" Jeyne stood behind her and asked softly, "What are you looking at?"

"Nothing." Startled, Sansa turned around.

Jeyne looked in the direction Sansa had been staring and understood what was on her mind. "When His Grace Viserys asked whether you wanted to go, why did you say no?"

Jeyne had wanted to go herself. After all, her father and the guards from the North had been killed by House Lannister's men in the Tower of the Hand.

She wanted to see Cersei, the woman responsible, reduced to such a wretched state with her own eyes. But Sansa had turned Viserys down. How could Jeyne leave Sansa behind and go alone? She did not dare face Viserys by herself now.

At Jeyne's question, Sansa flushed, whether from shame or something else. She merely said, "It's nothing. I just don't like that sort of thing. Let's go down."

Sansa did not want to stay there any longer. As for why she had not gone, besides Viserys, there was also something within herself.

Cersei had allowed Joffrey to kill her father, imprisoned her for a year, and forced her to marry Joffrey. Sansa truly hated her, and by all rights she should have been happy about what was happening today.

Yet when she had seen Cersei being escorted out of the Red Keep earlier, she had found herself unable to feel any joy. She had even felt a surge of fear.
