Arya looked like a different person when she came out of the bath. Sansa had given her one of her old dresses, a blue one, but it was still a little too long and trailed along the floor.
Her hair had been washed clean as well and was no longer such a tangled mess.
"Arya, you finally look like a little girl now," Jeyne said when she saw her.
Arya could not help rolling her eyes at Jeyne. Then she hitched up her skirt, turned to Sansa, and complained, "Sansa, I'm not used to wearing this."
"You'll get used to it, Arya. Remember, no matter what, you're a lady of House Stark. You still need to be a proper lady, or at least look like one." As Sansa spoke, she pulled her down into a seat and picked up a comb to brush her hair.
Arya sat still. Though she continued muttering, she did not pull away and let Sansa comb her hair. "I'm not a little child anymore," she said.
Meanwhile, Daenerys lightly rubbed her fingers along the rim of the cup of milk in her hands. Her gaze rested on Viserys as she said softly, "Three children. They were still so young."
Rhaenys set down her cup, a faintly lecturing note in her voice. "Lannister children carry sinful blood. Leaving them alive would only invite trouble later. So Viserys did nothing wrong."
Viserys looked up at Daenerys and said in a tone that brooked no argument, "I know this may seem cruel to you, but for the future of House Targaryen, it had to be done."
Daenerys bit her lip and said quietly, "I never said I disagreed. Of course I know you're right. I was just feeling sad about it for a moment."
