Daenerys glanced at Arya, then Sansa, before finally turning to Viserys. "Brother, I'm going tomorrow too," she said firmly.
Viserys raised his wine cup and took a sip. Meeting Daenerys's expectant gaze, he said, "All right. You can go if you want, but remember to stay beside me. Don't stand too close to the Execution Platform, or you'll get splashed with blood."
Since Daenerys had arrived in time for this, Viserys could take the opportunity to teach her more of the hard-heartedness that a member of the royal family needed.
After dinner, the maids escorted Daenerys and Rhaenys back to their rooms. Daenerys's room was also on an upper floor of the King's Tower, on the other side of Viserys's room.
As this was Daenerys's first day in King's Landing, she had wanted Viserys to keep her company. Unfortunately, he had preparations to make for tomorrow and had no time, so Rhaenys had to stay with her instead.
Daenerys stood at the window, looking out over King's Landing at night. Rhaenys had taken off her shoes and stockings and lay on her side on the bed, barefoot, reading a book. She exuded a feminine charm that was at once youthful and mature.
"Rhaenys." After watching for a while, Daenerys suddenly turned and spoke.
"Hmm?" Rhaenys looked at her curiously.
"Has something changed between you and my brother?" Daenerys stared intently at Rhaenys, her gaze searching.
At those words, Rhaenys could not help a tender smile curling her lips. She put down her book, sat up, and asked earnestly, "Dany, you noticed?"
Her reaction told Daenerys that she had guessed correctly, and she quickly pressed her. "Yes, I know a little, so you'd better tell me everything yourself."
Rhaenys hesitated. "Well, something did happen between us. Viserys said he would tell
