Catelyn looked at her, frowning, but said nothing.

Arya, however, cut in from beside them, loudly declaring, "It's because she can't bear to leave His Majesty Viserys."

"Arya." Sansa's face grew even redder as she spoke.

"Am I wrong?" Arya spread her hands and teased, "You look at him the way you used to look at Joffrey, only you're much more serious about it now."

When Arya kept talking, Sansa immediately stood up and reached out to cover her mouth.

Sansa's reaction lifted Arya's somewhat gloomy spirits, and the two girls soon dissolved into a playful tussle. Jeyne sat beside them, watching, and the corners of her mouth slowly rose as well.

Once they had had their fun, Sansa sat back down, her hair a little disheveled and her face still red.

"Robb," Sansa said to her brother, "do you think... His Majesty Viserys will be a good king?"

Robb thought for a moment, then said, "He'll be a powerful king. As for whether he'll be a good one..."

He paused and glanced at his arm, which seemed to be starting to hurt again. "That will depend on what he does from now on."

Sansa nodded and asked nothing more.

That evening, the welcoming feast was held in the Red Keep's banquet hall. The Empire's senior officials in King's Landing and everyone who had come from the North were all present.

Dacey Mormont, Ser Wyllis Manderly, and the others, however, sat in a corner with the northern guards. They ate stiffly, afraid of making any noise, with none of the hearty ease they had shown in the North.

The dishes arrived one after another: roast leg of lamb, honey bread, vegetable soup, and more. Robb did not eat much, but his appetite was still far better than it had been
