Jeyne heard Viserys open the door and come inside. She raised her head, and her light brown eyes lit up the moment she saw him.
"Your Grace." Her voice was soft, tinged with excitement she could barely contain, and the corners of her mouth were already lifting into a smile.
Viserys stopped beside the wooden tub, steam condensing into tiny droplets on his silver hair. He looked down at the girl before him, a flicker of surprise crossing his violet eyes.
After all, as a member of a house sworn to House Stark, Jeyne was a noblewoman in her own right. Why was she working as a maid in Winterfell?
"Jeyne," Viserys said, a questioning note in his voice. "What are you doing here?"
