By the time Viserys and his party returned to Casterly Rock, it was nearly noon. Daenerys had already changed into her gear and was waiting in the riding grounds outside the castle.
Her silver hair had been braided into a single plait that hung from beneath a silver helmet down behind her shoulder. She wore silver armor and held the Valyrian steel sword, Silverwing, looking every inch a formidable lady knight.
When she saw Viserys return, she hurried over and turned around a few times in front of him. Then she lifted her delicate little face, her violet eyes shining beneath her silver helmet as she looked at him, seemingly waiting for him to say something first.
Seeing that Viserys merely smiled at her without any intention of speaking, Daenerys lost patience first. She reached back to flick the silver hair hanging behind her shoulder and said, "What do you think, brother? Even Lena said I look like a proper lady knight in this."
Only then did Viserys take a careful look at her silver armor. He nodded and said, "You certainly do. But although this silver armor looks lovely, it's nowhere near as sturdy as the suit of Valyrian steel armor I gave you before."
"Besides, this suit is too closely fitted for you to wear thick winter clothes underneath. It's only suitable for use in the south, but you can keep it if you like."
Daenerys pursed her lips at that and lightly patted the sword's hilt with the back of her hand. "I never intended to wear it to the North anyway. It's light and doesn't get in the way when I'm riding a dragon or a horse. I can keep it to wear later. It came from the Lannister treasury, you know. It's quite valuable."
