Raditz killed Zarbon in an instant

After slaughtering the Namekians in a village, Vegeta successfully found a Wish Orb.

He hid the Wish Orb, then went looking for the next one.

Along the way, he sensed Zarbon's energy.

Without another word, he gave chase.

Zarbon spotted Vegeta too and waited in the air for him to catch up.

Moments later, Vegeta reached him.

Zarbon said, "Vegeta, you've been quite hard to find. King Frieza is furious about your betrayal. He specifically ordered me to kill you."

Vegeta burst out laughing. "You? As far as I know, your power level is about the same as that fat pig Dodoria's. You're both only at twenty-two thousand, while mine has already surpassed that. What makes you think you can kill me?"

Zarbon sneered. "My dear Prince Vegeta, haven't you heard that quite a few races in the universe can increase their power through transformation? Unfortunately for you, I belong to one of them. So, Vegeta, have you decided how you want to die?"

Vegeta flew into a rage. "Stop bluffing! I'm not some prince you can scare into submission!"

Zarbon smiled. "It seems you won't believe me until it's too late. Very well, I'll grant your wish. I'll have to take on an ugly appearance, but as long as I kill you, it won't matter."

With a loud roar, Zarbon's energy surged. The muscles all over his body swelled, and his face changed as well.

Moments later, Zarbon had transformed into a hulking, hideous man covered in bulging muscles.

Sensing his opponent's energy, Vegeta broke into a cold sweat, but he still talked tough. "You ugly freak, your power level hasn't increased by mu-"

Before he could finish saying "much," Zarbon vanished in a blur and punched him in the stomach.

Vegeta spat blood, his body doubling over like a shrimp.

Zarbon said, "I hate being called an ugly freak more than anything. I was going to be merciful and leave your corpse intact, but I've changed my mind. There won't be enough of you left to bury, Vegeta."

Vegeta wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and roared, "Damn you, Zarbon! I'll take you down with me!"

He fired an energy blast at Zarbon, then immediately fled into the distance.

Zarbon slapped the blast aside and sneered as he watched Vegeta race away.

With a burst of speed, he caught up and blocked Vegeta's path, laughing. "Where are you going, Vegeta? In a hurry to reach the Underworld? Why don't I send you there myself?"

He flashed behind Vegeta, clasped his hands together, and hammered them down on top of his head. Vegeta had no time to dodge and took the blow head-on.

His body hurtled toward the ground. Vegeta fired an energy blast downward to steady himself, but before he could catch his breath, Zarbon was upon him again.

Without thinking, Vegeta hurled another energy blast. Zarbon slapped it aside, then delivered a headbutt that left Vegeta reeling.

He immediately followed up with a knee strike. Vegeta vomited up even the previous night's dinner and passed out on the spot.

Zarbon laughed uproariously, grabbed Vegeta by the ankle, and flew up into the air with him hanging upside down. After swinging him around several times, he hurled him at the ground.

A tremendous crash rang out as Vegeta smashed a large crater into the ground, where he lay unconscious.

Zarbon approached to inspect him. Only after confirming that Vegeta was no longer breathing did he revert to his original form. He laughed at Vegeta's "corpse." "I'll show you some mercy and leave your body intact after all, Vegeta."

With that, he flew into the air and headed back to report to Frieza.

Halfway there, however, Raditz and Nappa blocked his escape, one in front and one behind.

Zarbon said, "Are you two pieces of trash looking to die?"

Raditz laughed. "Zarbon, do you think we're still the same as before? Killing you would be child's play for us now."

Zarbon burst out laughing. "Raditz, are you trying to make me laugh myself to death? A worthless weakling with a power level of fifteen hundred thinks he can kill me? I just killed your Prince Vegeta. What makes you think you stand a chance?"

Nappa said, "So that's it. You were the one fighting Vegeta just now. You killed him?"

"Of course," Zarbon said. "Vegeta betrayed King Frieza, and King Frieza specifically sent me to eliminate him."

Nappa said, "Vegeta may have abandoned me on Earth, but whatever else he did, he was still my leader. So, Zarbon, are you ready to die?"

Zarbon laughed. "You Saiyan monkeys really must be tired of living. Now every nobody thinks he can challenge me. Let me send you both to your graves."

He flashed behind Raditz and swung both hands at the back of his head.

But Raditz spun around and drove an elbow into Zarbon's chest with lightning speed.

Zarbon spat blood and hurriedly backed away, shouting, "Impossible! How could you react in time? You're just a weakling with a power level of fifteen hundred! There's no way!"

Raditz said, "My power level is only fifteen hundred? Open those worthless eyes of yours, Zarbon, and take a good look at my power level and Nappa's."

He and Nappa released their energy at the same time, and white auras immediately flared around them.

Zarbon checked Raditz with his Scouter. The reading terrified him, and cold sweat poured down his body. "Impossible! How could your power level be ninety thousand? You're just a worthless Saiyan!"

Then he looked at Nappa, only to find that his power level had also reached forty-five thousand. Zarbon was utterly dumbfounded.

He spun around and fled into the distance.

Raditz immediately fired an energy blast at him.

Before Zarbon could react, Raditz blasted him to pieces.

Nappa said, "Raditz, why didn't you toy with him a little? He used to bully us all the time."

Raditz said, "What's the point of toying with trash like him? We'd better hurry and save the other villages. If Kakarot finds out, he might give us both a beating."

Nappa immediately broke into a cold sweat. "You're right. Let's get moving."

Raditz nodded, and the two flew in the direction Zarbon had come from.

Moments later, they spotted Vegeta crawling along the ground.

Vegeta had fooled Zarbon by playing dead, but he was still gravely injured. It had taken an enormous effort just to crawl out of the crater.

Raditz and Nappa immediately landed and approached Vegeta.

Vegeta struggled to lift his head. "Raditz, Nappa... Since you're here, Kakarot must be here too. What, did he send you to kill me?"

Nappa said, "Relax, Vegeta. We're not here to kill you. You abandoned me on Earth, but I don't blame you. In fact, I should thank you. If you hadn't abandoned me, I wouldn't be as strong as I am now."
