Cui's death, Dodoria's demise

Frieza asked Zarbon, "What has Vegeta's power level reached?"

Zarbon replied, "King Frieza, Vegeta's power level has reached twenty-four thousand."

"What?" Dodoria exclaimed, his face draining of color.

A cold glint flashed in Frieza's eyes. "Dodoria, you've lost your composure. I'll overlook it this once, but don't let it happen again."

Cold sweat poured down Dodoria's face. "I understand my mistake."

Frieza waved a hand. "Vegeta has spent years fighting on the front lines. It's hardly surprising that his power level has risen this high. The two of you can still defeat him together. Our immediate priority is to find the Wish Orbs as quickly as possible. Do you understand, Mr. Dodoria?"

"Yes, I understand," Dodoria hastily replied.

"Go, then. I hope you won't keep me waiting too long, Mr. Dodoria."

Dodoria's heart trembled. "Understood."

He then turned and left to search for the Wish Orbs.

Watching Dodoria leave, Frieza said to Zarbon, "Mr. Zarbon, I'll leave Vegeta to you. Don't disappoint me."

"Yes, King Frieza," Zarbon replied.

He then turned and left to pursue Vegeta.

Meanwhile, Cui was having a much worse time.

Realizing that Vegeta was far stronger than he was, Cui broke into a cold sweat. "Vegeta, hear me out. Let's join forces, kill Frieza, and take control of the Frieza Force. There's no need for us to fight to the death."

Vegeta sneered. "Just die. I can kill Frieza on my own."

Cui turned and fled, but there was no way he could outrun Vegeta.

With a burst of speed, Vegeta cut him off. "Where do you think you're going?"

An idea struck Cui, and he shouted over Vegeta's shoulder, "King Frieza! What brings you here?"

The moment Vegeta turned his head, Cui unleashed a barrage of energy blasts. After firing more than a dozen, he laughed breathlessly. "So what if your power level is higher than mine, Vegeta? You still fell for my trick and died by my hand! Hahaha!"

"Oh, really?" A familiar voice drifted out of the smoke.

Cui's face fell. He stared as the smoke cleared and Vegeta walked out without a scratch.

"Impossible! Absolutely impossible! You fell into my ambush! How could you be completely unharmed?" Cui shouted.

Vegeta sneered. "I was using those cheap tricks long before you. You dare try them on me? I was watching out for you all along."

Cui panicked and took to his heels. Seeing this, Vegeta charged up a Big Bang Attack and sent him straight to his grave.

Looking at Cui's pulverized remains, Vegeta said, "What filthy fireworks."

Then he muttered, "I need to collect the Wish Orbs before Frieza does. Even if I can't get them all, I can't let him gather all seven. Otherwise, I'll never have a chance to turn things around."

With that in mind, he switched on his Scouter, located a Namekian village, and sped toward it.

Meanwhile, after leaving the Grand Elder's home, Son Goku and the others split into pairs and flew toward the various villages to rescue the Namekians.

Krillin and Son Goshin soon reached a village, where they happened upon a squad of Frieza Force soldiers slaughtering Namekians and demanding the Wish Orb's whereabouts.

Without another word, the two sprang into action. Within moments, they wiped out the squad and rescued the Namekians.

Son Goshin told the village elder on Planet Namek, "The Grand Elder sent us to rescue you. There's no need to be afraid."

"You arrived just in time," the village elder said. "Otherwise, our entire village would have been slaughtered, and the Wish Orb would have been taken as well."

"No need to thank us, Elder," Krillin said. "If anything, we arrived too late. Otherwise, so many people wouldn't have been killed."

Everyone was overcome with grief. Neither of the two knew how to comfort them, so they said, "Elder, now that the danger has passed, we'll be on our way. We still have other villages to save. If we arrive too late, many more people will die."

The elder nodded. "You're right. Let me send Dende with you. He doesn't have much fighting power, but he can heal injuries. He should be of some help."

With that, the elder brought a Namekian child before them.

The two nodded in agreement, then flew toward the nearest village with Dende leading the way.

After flying for a while, the three happened upon Dodoria, who was carrying a Wish Orb.

Dodoria immediately blocked their path and grinned viciously. "You three brats sure have rotten luck. Running into me is just your misfortune."

Son Goshin and Krillin exchanged a glance and laughed. "Haha! Looks like you still don't understand the situation, you fat pig!"

Dodoria flew into a rage. "You damned brat! How dare you call me a fat pig? I'll tear your mouth apart!"

Son Goshin laughed. "I called you a fat pig. What are you going to do about it? Come hit me if you've got the guts."

"Damn it! Die, you blasted brat!" With that, Dodoria hurled an energy blast at Son Goshin.

Son Goshin swatted it away with a single slap.

"So you do have some skill, brat," Dodoria said. "Let's see what your power level is."

He switched on his Scouter, which displayed a reading of one thousand.

Dodoria laughed. "So you're just a little punk with a power level of one thousand. I thought you'd have at least ten thousand. The Frieza Force has plenty of trash like you, yet you dare provoke the great Dodoria? You must be tired of living."

"Take another good look at your Scouter," Son Goshin said, releasing his energy.

Dodoria's Scouter began beeping nonstop. Once the reading exceeded twenty-two thousand, it exploded with a bang.

Dodoria broke into a cold sweat and fled without another word.

Krillin instantly cut him off.

Dende asked Dodoria, "Where did you get that Wish Orb? What did you do to my people?"

"They gave me this Wish Orb," Dodoria lied. "I didn't do anything to them."

"That story might fool a child, but it won't fool us," Krillin said.

Seeing that his lie had been exposed, Dodoria stopped cowering. "That's right, I was lying. I stole this Wish Orb and killed everyone in the village. So what? Do you dare kill me? If you do, King Frieza won't let you get away with it."

Krillin fired a Kamehameha, sending Dodoria straight to his grave. Son Goshin darted forward and caught the Wish Orb.

The two comforted Dende. "Dende, we've avenged them for you. We can use the Dragon Balls to wish your people back to life."

"It's no use," Dende sobbed. "Porunga can only revive one person at a time."

"Don't worry," Krillin said. "Shenron on Earth can revive lots of people at once."

"Really?" Dende asked.

"It's true," Son Goshin said. "Once we've defeated the invaders and returned to Earth, we'll ask Shenron to bring your people back."

Dende was overjoyed. "Thank you!"

"No need to thank us," Krillin said. "If anything, we should thank the Grand Elder for unlocking our potential."

The three then took the Dragon Ball and immediately headed for the other villages to rescue the Namekians there.
