Bringing Raditz to heel and challenging Vegeta

Raditz paid it no mind and easily blocked Piccolo's attack.

He even sneered, "Did you skip breakfast? Those punches are so weak. Are you trying to tickle me?"

Piccolo flew into a helpless rage at his words. His attacks grew fiercer and faster, but he still couldn't touch Raditz.

Raditz laughed. "Trash, just as I thought. You can't even touch my clothes. You've had your fun attacking. Now it's my turn."

Piccolo was alarmed, but before he could react, a fist slammed into his stomach.

Piccolo doubled over, spitting up bile. Fighting through the pain, he put some distance between himself and Raditz.

Raditz didn't pursue him. Instead, he called out to Son Goku, "Kakarot, this is the backup you brought? What a piece of trash."

Son Goku said, "Don't get the wrong idea. I just wanted to show Piccolo what else is out there. I don't need help to deal with you."

Raditz burst out laughing. "Kakarot, are you trying to make me laugh myself to death? A piece of trash like you thinks he can take on his big brother?"

Son Goku said, "In that case, check my power level with your Scouter."

Raditz laughed. "Why bother? At most, you're a little stronger than that green-skinned trash."

"Is that so?" Son Goku said, then released roughly one percent of his ki.

Raditz's Scouter began beeping.

The number on its display made Raditz break out in a cold sweat. It clearly read three thousand.

Son Goku smiled. "Well, my foolish big brother, what's my power level?"

Raditz shouted, "Impossible! That's absolutely impossible! The Scouter must be broken! You were trash with a power level of only two at birth! No amount of training could get you to three thousand!"

Son Goku said, "Nothing is impossible. You're just shortsighted and ignorant."

Raditz replied, "You call me ignorant? I've fought all over the universe with Prince Vegeta. There's no one I haven't seen! Your power level is only a measly three thousand, while Prince Vegeta's is eighteen thousand. You're the ignorant one!"

Son Goku laughed. "Prince Vegeta? He's just a dog who bullies the weak and fears the strong. If he dares come here, I'll beat him so badly his own mother wouldn't recognize him."

Raditz burst out laughing. "Kakarot, you're finished! Everything you just said was transmitted to Prince Vegeta through my Scouter. You're a dead man!"

Son Goku smiled. "We'll see who dies. But I do know you're about to."

Raditz cried out in terror, "Kakarot, what do you mean? You're going to kill me? I'm your big brother!"

Son Goku said, "Do we Saiyans even care about family?"

Raditz immediately darted over and dropped to his knees in front of Son Goku, sobbing. "Kakarot, don't you remember? I held you when you were little! Please don't kill your big brother!"

Son Goku said, "Enough. Just look at yourself. If Father were still alive to see you like this, he'd give you a beating."

Raditz asked, "Kakarot, you're not going to kill me?"

Son Goku said, "I have no interest in attacking the weak. But you have to stay on Earth, and you're not allowed to attack people at random. Otherwise, you know what'll happen."

Raditz nodded and bowed. "Don't worry, Kakarot. I won't attack anyone at random."

Son Goku said, "Give me your Scouter."

Raditz asked, "Kakarot, what do you want the Scouter for?"

"Hmm?" Son Goku shot him a glare, and Raditz immediately took off his Scouter and handed it over.

With the Scouter in hand, Son Goku addressed Vegeta on the other end. "Vegeta, I know you can hear me. I'll be waiting for you on Earth. If you don't come, you're a coward."

Deep in space, on an unnamed planet, Vegeta heard the words coming through his Scouter and nearly exploded with rage. He roared, "Kakarot, you piece of trash! Just you wait! I'll tear you to pieces!"

Son Goku replied, "Good. You've got guts. I'll be waiting."

With that, he switched off the Scouter.

Enraged by those words, Vegeta formed an energy ball in his hand and blasted a distant mountaintop to pieces. Then he told Nappa beside him, "Come with me. We're heading to Earth right now. I'm going to tear that damned Kakarot and that spineless Raditz to pieces."

Nappa immediately replied, "Yes, Prince Vegeta."

A short while later, the two boarded their spherical spacecraft and set off for Earth.

After bringing Raditz to heel, Son Goku asked Piccolo, "Piccolo, do you want to get stronger?"

Piccolo snorted. "Of course I do. What do you have in mind?"

Son Goku said, "Come home with me, and I'll tell you."

Piccolo snapped, "Son Goku, quit being mysterious! If you want to tell me, then tell me. If not, forget it!"

Son Goku said, "The way to get stronger is to train in a Gravity Room. Do you have a Gravity Room? Or do you know how to build one?"

Piccolo froze, then asked, "I don't. Do you?"

Son Goku said, "I don't, but my wife Bulma does."

Piccolo had no answer to that.

Son Goku said, "If you want to get stronger, come to my house."

Then he turned to Raditz. "Come on. You're coming home with me."

Raditz nodded, and Son Goku flew home, leaving Piccolo where he stood, pondering whether to go to Son Goku's house.

A short while later, Son Goku arrived home. He handed the Scouter to Bulma and asked her to remove its surveillance system and improve it so it could measure higher power levels.

Then he introduced Raditz to Bulma and Chi-Chi.

Under Son Goku's intimidating gaze, Raditz greeted Bulma and Chi-Chi.

Afterward, Son Goku used Instant Transmission to bring Son Goshin and Son Gohin home from Immortal Island.

After arranging a place for Raditz to stay, Son Goku sought out Dr. Brief and asked him to help build a Gravity Room, while Bulma went off to improve the Scouter.

By noon the next day, Bulma had finished modifying the Scouter. It could now detect power levels of up to three million. Son Goku was delighted to hear this, showering Bulma with praise and deciding to reward her properly that night.

He then took the Scouter to a deserted location, released his ki at full power, and checked his power level. Just as he had suspected, it had reached three hundred thousand.

As Son Goku released his ki, everyone on Earth sensed it and was stunned.

Piccolo, who was still wavering, was scared stiff when he sensed that ki. He immediately stopped hesitating and headed straight for Son Goku's house.

Son Goku suppressed his ki, then used Instant Transmission to return home.
