Raditz defeats Nappa, Son Goku toys with Vegeta

Vegeta and Nappa followed Son Goku and the others, soon arriving in the wasteland.

Vegeta surveyed their surroundings and said to Goku, "Kakarot, you've picked a fine place to be buried."

Son Goku smiled. "We don't know who's getting buried yet."

Vegeta flew into a rage. "Kakarot, stop acting like you're some master! Get over here and die!"

Son Goku smiled. "If you're that eager for a beating, I'll oblige."

With that, he turned to Piccolo. "Prince Vegeta should make a decent opponent. He's all yours."

Piccolo said, "No problem. I'd like to see what this so-called Prince Vegeta is made of."

With that, he charged at Vegeta.

Vegeta met Piccolo head-on without another word.

Everyone's stares made Nappa's skin crawl. Raditz said to Son Goku, "Kakarot, leave Nappa to me."

Son Goku nodded, then stepped aside with the others to watch.

Raditz smiled at Nappa. "Nappa, ready for your beating?"

Nappa forced himself to remain calm. "Raditz, you traitor! You dare attack me? Aren't you afraid Prince Vegeta will deal with you once he's free?"

Raditz replied, "Ha! You're still counting on Vegeta to save you? You think he can beat that Namekian?"

Nappa said, "Don't forget, we're a warrior race. A mere two-thousand-point difference in power level means nothing. I believe Prince Vegeta can defeat that Namekian."

Raditz said, "Worry about yourself. I'll let you strike first."

Nappa said, "Fine. Let's see if that power level of fifteen thousand is real."

A white aura flared around him. Raising his iron fist, he struck at Raditz with lightning speed.

Raditz dodged easily and sneered, "You're as slow as a snail. Who could you possibly hit?"

Nappa snapped, "Damn you, Raditz! Don't get cocky!"

With that, he attacked Raditz like a madman.

But he couldn't even brush the hem of Nappa's clothes.

Raditz said, "Too slow, too slow! Nappa, can't you go any faster?"

Enraged, Nappa formed an energy blast in his hands and hurled it at Raditz. Raditz flared his aura and slapped it away.

Then he told Nappa, "You've had plenty of turns. Now it's mine."

He charged at Nappa, who had no time to react before Raditz's fist slammed into his stomach.

Nappa's eyes rolled back, and he passed out.

Raditz grabbed Nappa and flew over to the others.

He told Son Goku, "Nappa was too weak. He wasn't even a match for me."

Son Goku said, "Nappa's power level is eight thousand at most, and yours is fifteen thousand now. If you couldn't finish him in one hit, you might as well bash your head against a block of tofu and be done with it."

Raditz laughed. "You're right."

Then he looked up at the battle between Piccolo and Vegeta.

By then, Piccolo had beaten Vegeta black and blue. Humiliated and enraged, Vegeta decided to unleash his ultimate attack and destroy Earth.

Vegeta gathered all his energy, cupped his hands at his waist, then thrust them forward with a shout. "Big Bang Attack! Dodge this, Namekian, and I'll destroy Earth! Hahaha!"

Piccolo quickly concentrated all his energy at his fingertips, then roared, "Special Beam Cannon!"

A spiraling beam shot out and collided with Vegeta's blast.

Vegeta cried, "Impossible! You actually stopped it!"

Then he poured more energy into his attack. His beam instantly thickened and pushed toward Piccolo.

Piccolo increased his own output, forcing the energy beam back.

In a blink, it reached Vegeta. At the last possible moment, he twisted aside, and the beam grazed his shoulder.

Vegeta turned to look and saw that the shoulder of his Battle Suit had been scorched black.

Cold sweat poured down his body. Recovering his senses, he muttered, "Looks like I'll have to turn into a Great Ape to kill Kakarot and all the others."

Then he flew high into the sky to search for the moon.

Moments later, tens of thousands of meters above the ground, he finally spotted it.

His heart pounded as his body rapidly swelled. In just a few seconds, he became a Great Ape over ten meters tall, then plunged back down.

When Piccolo saw Vegeta fly skyward, he thought Vegeta was fleeing and gave chase, only to witness his transformation into a Great Ape.

Vegeta's energy had also multiplied several times over. This is bad, Piccolo thought, but he still intended to give it a try.

Seeing Piccolo attack instead of flee, Vegeta laughed. "Namekian, my power level is now seven or eight times what it was at my peak! Are you ready to die?"

Piccolo said, "Quit your boasting."

Vegeta replied, "If you're so eager to die, then this prince will oblige!"

With that, he swung his enormous fist at Piccolo. Unable to dodge in time, Piccolo was punched down into the ground.

The blow left Piccolo dazed. He had assumed that Vegeta's increased strength and size would make him slower. Instead, Vegeta had become even faster than before.

When Son Goku saw Vegeta transform into a Great Ape, he knew it was time to step in.

He flashed to Piccolo's side and said, "Leave the rest to me. Stand back."

Piccolo said, "Son Goku, be careful. His speed and strength have both increased several times over."

Son Goku said, "Don't worry. That little bit of power isn't enough to concern me."

Seeing Son Goku's confidence, Piccolo said no more and flew back to the others.

After landing, Vegeta saw that Son Goku had taken Piccolo's place. "Kakarot, are you that eager to die?"

Son Goku smiled. "We don't know who's going to die yet."

Vegeta roared, "Damn you, Kakarot! Let's see what gives you the confidence to challenge this prince!"

He attacked Son Goku, who darted aside and punched Vegeta in the left eye.

Vegeta howled in pain, covered his left eye, and shouted at Kakarot, "When did you hit my eye? Why didn't I see it?"

Son Goku said, "I'm too fast. Of course you couldn't see it."

Enraged, Vegeta swung his enormous fist at Son Goku again.

Son Goku darted aside and punched Vegeta in the right eye.

Covering his right eye, Vegeta raged, "Kakarot, can't you hit somewhere else? Stop going for my eyes!"

Son Goku said, "Don't you think this makes you look more like a panda?"

"A what?" Vegeta asked.

Son Goku said awkwardly, "Oh, I forgot. You're an alien. You don't know what a panda is."

Vegeta roared, "Kakarot, don't think those sneak attacks mean you can beat me! I'm the prince of the Saiyans! How could I lose to a Low-Class Warrior like you?"

Son Goku smiled. "All right, I'm done playing with you. I'm going to make my move. Are you ready?"

Vegeta was about to speak when pain shot through his tail, and his body rapidly shrank.

Panicking, he asked Son Goku, "When did you cut off my tail?"

Son Goku smiled. "While you were getting ready to brag."

Vegeta snapped, "Damn it, Kakarot! You piece of trash! You can't fight fair! You used a sneak attack!"
