Beerus spun around with a kick and struck another of Son Goku's afterimages.
Behind Beerus, Son Goku clasped his hands together and hammered them toward the back of Beerus's head, striking Beerus's afterimage.
Son Goku immediately threw a spinning kick behind him.
Sure enough, Beerus's afterimage appeared there.
Meanwhile, Beerus appeared above Son Goku, stomping his feline foot down hard at him.
His foot struck Son Goku's afterimage.
Beerus immediately swung a backhand behind him. This time, however, Son Goku appeared in front of Beerus instead of behind him.
He drove a punch straight at Beerus's chest.
His fist passed right through. Obviously, it was another of Beerus's afterimages.
The two kept chasing each other like this, striking at one another's afterimages.
Below, everyone watched the footage Whis was showing them in utter shock.
Although neither had landed a blow yet, the fierce chase still left everyone dumbfounded.
Son Goku said, "I never thought Kakarot would be this formidable. He's actually on par with Lord Beerus! And Lord Beerus really played me.
