"Boss! Are you... all right?"
Meng Cheng looked worriedly at the man standing outside the prison gates.
At the sound of his voice, Meng Zhiyuan seemed to finally come back to himself. An unreadable expression lingered on his cold, hard face.
"Why don't I send a few of the boys inside to kill that bastard?"
Meng Cheng's voice turned vicious. That man's arrogance earlier had really pissed him off.
Meng Zhiyuan shook his head, glanced back at the enormous steel cage behind him, and spoke flatly.
"They can't die."
His words left Meng Cheng baffled. Seeing his boss looking down, apparently lost in thought, he stayed quiet.
He didn't disturb him again.
They reached the parking lot one after the other. Meng Zhiyuan stood in front of his car with narrowed eyes, not moving for a long time.
"Boss? What's wrong?"
Meng Cheng was puzzled. His boss had seemed off ever since what happened earlier, and he worried it would be dangerous for him to drive. He quickly spoke up.
"Why don't you ride with me? I parked nearby."
He had barely finished when Meng Zhiyuan took his phone out of his pocket, his expression unusually cold.
"No need. You head back first."
As he spoke, he had already placed a call, and someone answered on the other end.
"Hello? Zhiyuan?"
Meng Zhiyuan was silent for two seconds before slowly speaking.
"Mu Shaoxuan, I need a favor."
Mu Shaoxuan paused on the other end, his expression turning serious. Still, he kept his usual flippant tone, pretending to be relaxed.
"Well, well, did the sun rise in the west today? Even you, Meng Zhiyuan, have a favor to ask me?"
Meng Zhiyuan's grip on his phone tightened slightly. His voice was low and measured.
"Yes. Pick someone up for me. And..."
