After spending an entire week out and about, Su Xiajing decided not to venture too far on their last day. She looked up guides online to find some local food to try.
Su Zhihao brought Lu Hengyuan over on an early high-speed train to meet them at the hotel.
He had not seen Tang Tang for a while. Seeing her so absorbed in playing with Xiao Xiang, Su Zhihao rubbed his eyes in disbelief.
Was this really his little niece, who usually could not even be bothered to move?
"Sis."
Su Zhihao leaned toward Su Xiajing. "I've been meaning to ask. Who's that little boy? Why does he get along so well with Tangtang?"
He had never seen her so relaxed before.
Su Xiajing followed his gaze and smiled. "He's Tangtang's brother."
"Tangtang's brother?"
Su Zhihao was shocked. "That Tang Beichen, how dare he..."
"What are you thinking?"
Su Xiajing curled her fingers and tapped him on the head. "Her godbrother."
Su Zhihao: "..."
Since when did she have a godbrother?
What on earth had happened while I wasn't seeing my niece?
"His name is Xiao Xiang. He's nine."
Not wanting to explain too much, Su Xiajing gave him a brief introduction. "The woman beside him is Tangtang's godmother. She saved Tangtang's life."
Su Zhihao: "..."
He still did not quite understand the circumstances, but at least he knew how important they were.
"You must be tired after coming over so early."
Su Xiajing looked at the two of them. "Why don't you head upstairs and rest first?"
Lu Hengyuan smiled faintly. "We're fine. We rested on the train, too."
"Yeah. We got up early, but really, we just moved somewhere else to lie down."
Su Zhihao pulled his suitcase along. "I haven't eaten much, though. I'm a little hungry."
