Tang Xia had taken time off work to come.
She did not have much time. Once she signed the contract, she needed to take Xiao Xiang home, then return to work.
Tang Tang held on to Xiao Xiang, insisting that he stay and play with her.
Only after Su Xiajing promised to take them home herself that afternoon did Tang Xia reluctantly relax and head back to work.
Su Xiajing still had some work to handle, so she let Tang Tang and Xiao Xiang play on their own. Once she finished, she would take the two children out for lunch.
She did not know Xiao Xiang's tastes, so she let Tang Tang decide what to eat. They eventually settled on a private dining restaurant they had visited before.
"The food there is really delicious."
On the way, Tang Tang earnestly explained to Xiao Xiang, "It's not too spicy, so kids can eat it too. Don't worry, big brother."
"Okay."
Xiao Xiang could not handle spicy food, but Tang Tang had already made him so hungry that he felt he would be fine even if the dishes really were spicy.
He really wanted to taste it and see just how good it was!
The private dining restaurant required reservations a day in advance, but because the owner was Su Xiajing's friend, she had secured a booking with just over an hour's notice.
After getting out of the car, Su Xiajing led the two children toward the private room at the very back, easily finding her way.

As they passed a room, someone called out to Su Xiajing.
All three stopped and turned around.
