Shen Yangge slipped away in the opposite direction.

He still held the unconscious System 615 in his arms. Based on past experience, there was usually a grace period of about half an hour after a punishment was set, but this time, the system hadn't given him an exact time.

The clothes Shen Yangge wore were well suited for running away. Moonlight fell on his black hair, coating it in silvery light. Relying on what little sense of direction and memory he possessed, he retraced his steps.

Finally, just as his legs began to ache from the strain, he plunged into the water, face-first. He thought he would suffocate, but then he realized he didn't feel as though he were drowning.

He poked his head out of the river, his long hair spreading across the surface. He was just about to ask System 615 what was going on when he noticed that Little Orange Cat, who had been lying on the bank, was gone. His brow twitched, and he took a closer look.

Well, damn. Little Orange Cat had turned into a live fish.

And a koi, at that-a fairly uncommon sight.

Shen Yangge picked up System 615, who had been turned into a koi as punishment, and placed it in the water. Once in the water, the half-dead koi sprang back to life and swam a wide circle around him.

Its tail slapped the surface of the water in utter delight.

"615?"

No response. Shen Yangge called again. 615 blew a few bubbles, worked its gills, and continued swimming happily back and forth. Shen Yangge concluded that not only had this little rascal become a fish, but its memory might now last only seven seconds.

System 615 was probably no different from an ordinary fish now.
