The solid gold chain held an adorable little gold puppy pendant at its center, with Qi Sijing's initials engraved on the back.
"Is this supposed to be for you or for me? It's just like that puppy standee of yours." Lin Xingye picked up the necklace and gave Qi Sijing an indignant kiss.
Qi Sijing kissed his cheek again and smiled. "It's special. It's my pager. There's a tiny button underneath, and whenever you press it, I'll come running straight to you."
"Besides, aren't I Star's puppy?" Qi Sijing lowered his puppy-dog eyes pitifully, looking like a little dog about to be abandoned.
Lin Xingye couldn't bear to see him like that and hurriedly beckoned him over. "Oh, come on. Put it on me."
The man immediately beamed and deftly fastened the necklace around Lin Xingye's slender, fair neck. The chain rested against his collarbones, making his skin look as smooth and precious as creamy white jade.
Unable to resist, Qi Sijing stroked it a couple of times.

"Do you like it?" Qi Sijing leaned down and kissed the crown of his head. Just as he'd hoped, the awkward young man in his arms blushed all the way down his neck, lending the precious gold chain an unexpected touch of allure.
Lin Xingye nodded, unconsciously touching the cool metal against his neck as his face broke into a smile. "I love it."
