"Mmph, move it."
An Shi pushed away the heavy arm draped over his waist, got out of bed without a change in expression, and went to the bathroom to wash up.
The shameless William stayed right where he was, watching as An Shi came out after washing and stripped off his pajamas, revealing a lean, muscular upper body.
An Shi was not particularly fond of working out. He just did a little exercise regularly to maintain an ordinary level of fitness. A thin layer of muscle covered his body, its smooth contours clearly defined.
His skin had the pale glow of someone who rarely saw the sun, making it quite a sight. Even after An Shi had finished dressing, William was still itching for another glimpse of the snowy skin that had flashed before his eyes.
"If you don't get up, I'm leaving."
An Shi lifted a foot and nudged his thigh, then turned to leave the next second.
That nudge nearly stoked William's desire into a blaze, but he could only force it back down.
William drove An Shi to the hospital. After exchanging a glance with Claire as he entered the office, An Shi got on with his work, never expecting her to strike up a conversation.
"Are you close with William?"
An Shi's eyes flickered before quickly settling again. "I suppose." After that vague, unhelpful answer, he asked, "Do you know him?"
Claire shook her head. "He's something of a local celebrity. I've seen him a few times before. I was just curious."
With that, Claire dropped the subject and instead began discussing questions related to their current research.
