A meeting was underway in the Hokage Office.

"Lord Hokage, may we ask why you summoned us?"

Might Guy stepped forward and addressed Tsunade.

Tsunade sat at the head of the room, now draped in the Hokage's robes. With both hands resting on the desk, she swept an impassive gaze over everyone.

The Jonin gathered there paled and sucked in sharp breaths. How could they fail to understand what that meant?

Kakashi Hatake asked calmly, "Lord Hokage, are you planning to go to war?"

They had already anticipated war, since the subject had come up more than once or twice.

During the Hokage election, they had been nearby and overheard some of the discussions.

Even those who had been called away and missed the election could hear about it from others.

They had no objections to war, but surely they couldn't simply charge in blindly.
