Ch. 41The day he joined the team
Plot points and events

- Luo Mang reveals that the Hokage assigned him to Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura’s team. Sakura recognizes him as the student who dropped out and is puzzled about why he is joining them.
- Naruto arrives late and is delighted to learn Luo Mang is now on his team. Luo Mang gives him tissues to wipe off his sweat.
- The group waits a long time for their instructor, Kakashi, who eventually arrives reading Icha Icha Paradise and offers his usual excuse about getting lost.
- Luo Mang privately anticipates that Kakashi will test them by making them compete for bells, and wonders how the extra team member may affect the test.

- Kakashi makes a late, casual entrance, apparently absorbed in his book.
