• Yui recognized the enormous slug as Katsuyu and explained that spatial turbulence had brought her to Shikkotsu Forest.

Jiraiya and Tsunade attacked the rogue Konoha ninja, with Tsunade defeating the brown-haired Jonin while Jiraiya fought two others. The chapter ended as Jiraiya used Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld against his wounded opponents.

• The rogue Konoha ninja split up to escape, but Jiraiya's Great Flame Bullet struck them and kunai finished off a wounded Chunin.
