• Chen Mo survived an unprecedented Immortality Tribulation, then learned he would have to find his own way back to the Great Thousand World.
• Chen Mo and Ye Ming developed and sold Source Heaven Pills, then Chen Mo recruited newcomers including Qi Feng and Yu Xiaoxiao to the Fire Pavilion.
• Chen Mo absorbed the Great Fu Tu Dharma Body into his Undying Golden Body and took Yu Xiaoxiao on a mission to hunt Zheng.

Chen Mo survived the Five Spirits Offering, faced judgment for the deaths in the tower, and later advanced through seclusion and dual cultivation with Nangong Jinse. He defeated Ling Miao in a wagered challenge, while Ye Yiren revealed that she had reached the Reincarnation Realm and would miss the coming God-Demon exchange.

• Nu Mou attacked Chen Mo during the Five Spirits Offering, and Chen Mo retaliated with the Vermilion Bird before defeating the Water and Earth Pavilions’ Demonic Dragon Killing Formation and claiming the tower’s Spiritual Source.
• Chen Mo refused to surrender his Spiritual Sources after leaving the tower, and Lord Cat bound him and the Water and Earth Pavilion leaders for a joint Law Pavilion trial.

Chen Mo reconciled with Yu Xiaoxiao, cultivated with her help, and spent the Lantern Festival with her and Nangong Jinse, where he met Fang Risuo and Lin Yi. After Lin Yi divorced Fang Risuo, Chen Mo took him in, then sought help for his approaching tribulation and traveled with Nangong Jinse to the Forest of Ten Thousand Trees.

• Chen Mo apologized to Yu Xiaoxiao, who forgave him but asked to wait three months before they went further, and later gave him divine abilities to cultivate.
• Chen Mo took Yu Xiaoxiao and Nangong Jinse to the Lantern Festival, where they met Fang Risuo and Lin Yi and entered the riddle contest.
• Lin Yi won the contest, and Chen Mo entered enlightenment beneath the moon, strengthening his Galaxy Divine Ability.
• Ye Yiren used the Kunlun Mirror to spy on Chen Mo and coached Fang Yueya to grow closer to him in disguise.

Chen Mo and Nangong Jinse became caught in Ouyang Kai’s rebellion while seeking the Wind Attribute Ling and Fire Attribute Ling. After Nangong Qingtian seized the throne and agreed to their marriage, the family’s hidden history left Nangong Mu'er devastated and Nangong Jinse estranged from her father.

• Chen Mo absorbed the ancient trees’ Ancient Wood Essence, and Nangong Jinse identified herself to Nangong Nan, who brought them to the Elf Clan capital.
• An explosion devastated the capital, and Ouyang Ce’s forces attacked the fleeing group, killing Nangong Cheng as Chen Mo helped Nangong Jinse and Nangong Mu'er escape.
• Chen Mo defeated Wang Ye and later Liu Ping, but suffered grave injuries, and Nangong Nan found him and brought him to her camp to recover.
• Nangong Qingtian returned, used his Law Power to subdue Ouyang Kai and four Reincarnation Realm experts, and killed them before declaring himself the new Elf King.
• Nangong Jinse reunited with Chen Mo, and Nangong Qingtian agreed to provide him the Wind Attribute Ling and Fire Attribute Power if they married, setting their wedding for the day after his coronation.
• Nangong Qingtian revealed that Nangong Mu'er was his biological daughter and explained that he had killed Yao'er when the Azure Spirit Demon Embryo became uncontrollable.
• Nangong Mu'er rejected Nangong Qingtian and Lingqin and ran from the hall, while Nangong Nan condemned her brother and Nangong Jinse left with Chen Mo.
