Arc 21The Missing Children and Prince Xin

Jiang Yingcheng and Jiang Yanchuan exposed the Wang Family’s child-trafficking scheme in Xiyuan City, then turned their attention to Prince Xin’s growing threat. After returning to the Capital, Jiang Yingcheng helped uncover court intrigue and the family prepared for danger near Green Smoke Alley.

  • Jiang Yingcheng and Jiang Yanchuan rescued Ji Fuguang from Wang Qizhi and uncovered Wang Xiuxian’s child-trafficking scheme, while Xu Jiu helped stop an attempted kidnapping at the Pei Residence.
  • Chu Zian presided over the case as Zhang Haogong and the rescued children’s testimony exposed the Wang brothers, and Ji Fuguang chose to stay with Chu Zian and help establish an orphanage.
  • Jiang Yanchuan gave Ji Nian and the other mountain bandits minor official posts, then asked Yu Xingmian’s Ink Rain Association to spread rumors against Prince Xin.

Arc 22Rebellion and Lantern Festival

Jiang Yanchuan crushed Jiang Silin’s rebellion, and Guan Zhili learned Jiang Silin was his birth father before helping bring the revolt to an end. After months of punishment and rewards, Jiang Yingcheng joined her family and officials for a Lantern Festival outing that ended in an assassination attempt on Jiang Yanchuan.

  • Jiang Yingcheng discovered Prince Xin’s forces had reached Zhuoping County, while Jiang Silin prepared to travel to Beiming to find his child.
  • Jiang Silin declared his rebellion in Chongyun Hall, but Jiang Yanchuan revealed himself and exposed the rebel forces’ defeat across the palace.
  • Jiang Silin struck Guan Zhili, who revealed he had betrayed his father to protect Jiang Yingcheng, and Jiang Silin begged Jiang Yanchuan to save him and vowed to abandon the rebellion.
  • Jiang Yanchuan told Guan Zhili that he had been abandoned as a baby and was Jiang Silin’s missing son, then Jiang Yingcheng’s medicines helped save the boy.
  • Jiang Yanchuan punished those involved in the rebellion for two months, and Emperor Mingze rewarded Kan Ruifeng and his soldiers before Jiang Yingcheng celebrated her status as a princess.
