This inscription was not one Kroya had made himself. Instead, he had infused the power of the Astral Body Inscription Technique into the sunflower's astral spirit body, allowing it to evolve on its own through the laws of divine authority over light depicted by Eden.
The hymns of countless sunflowers still echoed within the inscription-
"May you rise into the sky."
"Replace the sun."
"From eternal solitude and cold, cast your light across the earth."
The collective consciousness of countless sunflowers, together with the Father of Light's lingering divine power, gave it the strange atmosphere of a sacrificial ground, primitive and desolate.
"What an inefficient way to process faith."
"You have to rely on materials with spirituality and rituals just to ensure that faith reaches the deity intact."
He could not help complaining. In his view, the Father of Light's sacrificial practices were primarily intended to make humans fear the "unknown," hence all those cumbersome ritual steps.
It was not necessarily a bad approach, but it made the transmission of faith terribly inefficient. Some humans who could not perform the rituals had no way to send their faith to the Father of Light at all.
Yet those people, already at the end of their rope, were precisely the most likely-and most promising-candidates to become fanatics. Faith itself demanded desperation. Only after losing everything could someone embrace it without reservation.
-The Demon Gods' followers were exactly like that.
At some point, the Sunflower Sprite had perched on Kroya's shoulder. It joined in his complaints. "I think so too! The Demon Gods' followers have such an easy time offering sacrifices. It's nowhere near as troublesome as it is with the orthodox gods."
"Hey, Master, has my divine art still not taken shape?"
Although its body had nurtured the divine art, it did
