In this world, angels were masses of holy light. Simply put, they were elemental life-forms born from highly concentrated Sacred Power.
To take the comparison to an extreme, they were no different from the slimes that tended the coconut tree.
The gods merely granted them power, and they served the gods in return.
It was a mutually beneficial relationship.
Hmm... so theoretically, if Sacred Power reached a certain concentration, there was a tiny chance an angel could be born, right?
