That was why Kroya regretted it the instant he accidentally met its gaze. And yet... there was no change at all in the angel's eyes.
They were utterly rigid and vacant, without any trace of emotion.
Its eyes were not beautiful in the slightest.
They were simply masses of highly concentrated holy light, like tiny white suns, with nothing that could really be called pupils.
But within its pupils was the image of a rotating platinum-colored ring, with what seemed to be characters flowing across it.
They were tiny, moving along the ring like decorative patterns.
Those characters were filled with sacred magic power. As if imbued with the sixth-level spell "Universal Comprehension," their meaning could be understood just by looking at them.
Kroya narrowed his eyes and read them aloud. "Void Luminary Magic, Ark Garden... Cloud-Dissipating Four-Leaf Clover?"
None of the others surprised him. Only "Ark Garden" did. Were this angel and the mushroom connected to the Void Luminary Ark after all?
