Raphael overcame his fear that the Evernight Goddess’s blessing would bring serious misfortune, then consulted Klein before taking Pain to the Forsaken Land of the Gods. There, Raphael offered Pain advice about reconciling Adam and the True Creator’s personalities, and Pain approached the mountain-sized cross where their merger was to begin.
