"Turn on the lights!"
Li Wei deactivated [Soul Sight] and shouted. Before he had even finished, Inspector Lestrade, who stood by the door, switched on the lights around the room. The sudden brightness made everyone who had been sitting in the gloom instinctively shut their eyes, then open them again.
Then...
"Aaaah!"
Another scream rang out. This time it came from the newlywed wife. Pale as a sheet, she stared at the table before her and backed away, screaming. Her husband held her tightly, his expression equally rigid with shock.
Li Wei had already darted over with the agility of a cheetah, his eyes fixed on the table. Everyone else had moved well away from it. Only one person remained seated there, his head slumped onto the tabletop as though he had fallen asleep. His face was turned to one side, and he kept twitching as if he were having an epileptic seizure.
