Baldur's Gate was a famous city. Or rather, cities like Neverwinter, Waterdeep, and Baldur's Gate were all fairly famous, but that meant jack shit when their reputations were anything but good. They mostly appeared in Bards' songs as the backdrop for a Light Giant beating up little monsters. Either evil had invaded, destruction was imminent, or an evil god had descended.
Then a band of adventurers would step forward, eradicate evil, defend justice and peace, and smash the cities to pieces in the process.
Yes, that definitely wasn't a good reputation. At least, Li Wei certainly didn't want one like it. Whether the residents of those cities liked their "good reputations" was another matter.
Li Wei was still driving the steel behemoth that had run rampant through the Second Sanctuary. Here, however, even he had to slow down for one simple reason-a traffic jam.
Yes, and one hell of a traffic jam at that.

Li Wei held the steering wheel with one hand and gazed forlornly out the window. A hundred meters away stood Baldur's Gate's towering city gate-the Petrifying Lizard Gate. Outside it, long lines were packed together, filled with horse-drawn carriages, handcarts, and refugees in ragged clothing.
The crowd filled the entire road, leaving even Li Wei's steel behemoth unable to move an inch.
I can't just drive straight through them, can I?

"There are so many refugees here. Are they all from Elturel?"
Sophia gazed at the numb, uneasy refugees outside the window and spoke softly.
"Probably. We already questioned some of them earlier, but unfortunately, we didn't learn much."
Li Wei shrugged. They had even visited Elturel before this, but he had to admit that there was nothing
