• Indra absorbed the Ten-Tails, gained a Yin-Yang Six Paths Staff, and learned from Black Zetsu that the beast had to evolve into the God Tree before Infinite Tsukuyomi could be cast.
• Indra released the Ten-Tails and ordered it to absorb natural energy and evolve into the God Tree.

As the Ten-Tails transformed toward becoming the God Tree, Madara Uchiha and Kakashi Hatake confronted Indra. Indra offered to join forces with Madara, but Madara rejected his claim of kinship, and Indra challenged him to fight.

• Black Zetsu realized Naruto had not appeared and resolved to protect the Ten-Tails until Indra could absorb the God Tree.
• Madara Uchiha and Kakashi Hatake arrived, and Kakashi used simulations to report Indra’s life-draining eye, black-orb defenses, and wide-ranging attacks.
• Indra fired a Tailed Beast Bomb at them, but Madara’s Majestic Destroyer Flame launched it into the sky, where it exploded.
• Indra descended from the Ten-Tails and invited Madara to join forces as his reincarnation and descendant.

Indra used his Six Paths: Susanoo to overwhelm Madara and Kakashi, then rode the newly evolved Ten-Tails into battle. Madara told Kakashi he had a plan to face the charging pair.

• Indra's Six Paths: Susanoo destroyed three of Madara's Limbo Susanoo with its Heavenly War Halberd, but Madara exchanged places with the last one and grabbed its wrist.
• Madara called to Kakashi, who used Kamui to break through Susanoo's defenses and let a Limbo shadow knock Indra out of it.
• Indra protected himself with Truth-Seeking Orbs and kept control of Susanoo, which destroyed Madara's Susanoo and sent Madara and Kakashi falling to the ground.

Madara and Kakashi combined their abilities to injure Indra, but Madara was aged by Wood Flower Stream and Kakashi spent his remaining power sending him into Kamui’s spacetime. As the God Tree emerged and Kakashi collapsed, Madara’s life force began returning inside Kamui’s dimension, while an unknown change stirred in his Rinnegan.

• Madara and Kakashi used Limbo exchanges and Kamui Shuriken to counter Indra’s attacks, until Kakashi exhausted his chakra and Indra destroyed Madara’s Susanoo.
• Kakashi passed through Six Paths: Susanoo and seized Indra, but Indra escaped by tearing off his arm, which Kakashi pulled into spacetime along with the Yin-Yang Six Paths Staff.
• Madara shielded Kakashi from Indra’s Wood Flower Stream, suffering rapid aging, then asked Kakashi to protect Ali and his child.

At the Valley of the End, Naruto persuaded the Sage of Six Paths to accept a wager: if Naruto could make Kaguya an ally, the Sage would stop opposing him and grant him hidden power.

• Indra noticed the God Tree's flower was about to bloom and insisted on waiting, frustrating Black Zetsu's plans to weaken him before Kaguya's resurrection.
• Naruto defeated the past Kage in the Sage of Six Paths' barrier, but the Sage restored their souls and chakra.

• Shikaku and Konan told the arriving Konoha ninja that the exercise was a response to Indra, the Ten-Tails, and the impending Infinite Tsukuyomi, and Yugao said Kakashi had gone to the Land of Lightning.
• Kumogakure, Iwagakure, Sunagakure, and Kirigakure forces arrived outside Amegakure, where old rivalries heightened tensions.
• Naruto and Sasuke returned to Amegakure, and Naruto discussed protecting the gathered ninja from the Infinite Tsukuyomi with the Hokage and Asura.

• Kakashi and a White Zetsu escaped Indra after the God Tree’s flower vanished into a space-time vortex, and Indra absorbed the God Tree and became its jinchūriki.

• Indra demanded that all but Naruto, Sasuke, Madara, Obito, and Hinata leave, and his Wood Flower Stream killed a Kumogakure ninja who charged him.
• Ōnoki released the weight technique on Fourth Raikage A, who transformed and used a series of lightning attacks to injure Indra.

Obito used Omodaru to revive the ninja in an endless cycle as Indra slaughtered them, while Naruto and the others worked to evade and counter Indra’s worldwide Wood Release attack. Kabuto Yakushi offered Might Guy a blood-red scroll so Guy could unleash the Eight Gates without dying, leaving his response unresolved.

• Obito repeatedly revived the ninja who charged Indra, and their endless attacks continued until Indra used God: Earth-Piercing Nails against the living across the battlefield.
• Naruto, Hinata, and Sasuke identified the spikes as a God Tree-based Wood Release attack that targeted living humans, while Ōnoki and the Raikage escaped to Obito’s position.
• Obito used Cessation of Arhat to sever the attack’s connection to Naruto and the other main combatants, then called for the Impure World Reincarnates to fight Indra.

• Indra’s Truth-Seeking Orb Flying Guillotine shredded the reincarnated Guy clones, but they reappeared through Obito’s vortex.
• Indra rushed Obito, but Minato blocked him and was wounded before Madara drove Indra back with Limbo: Border Jail.
• Indra’s Wood Flower Stream killed Madara once, but Madara’s shadows protected him and then granted him a period of invulnerability.

Indra replenished his power by draining the earth, but found himself unable to lift his hands as Black Zetsu’s trap activated.

• A-Juan destroyed the Planetary Devastation sphere with a Tailed Beast Bomb and freed Black Zetsu.
• A-Juan convinced Black Zetsu that she was secretly Mother's will, and he agreed to wait until Indra’s chakra reached a critical point before resurrecting Mother.

• Black Zetsu fed the chakra of those trapped in the Infinite Tsukuyomi into Indra, forcing him to transform fully into the Ten-Tails.
• Black Zetsu drew out the will of Kaguya's God Tree, which emerged from Indra's Ten-Tails and devoured him.
