Roland advanced Seris magic through printing, education, and Phantom Magic Cards while Gallo and Piero pursued dangerous rival research. After Agathus’s attack brought war to Lainer, the card tournament became a gathering point for competing powers and a possible gateway for the Abyss.

  • Skord and Thibault launched the Bi Sheng No. 1 printing machine, and Moberon built a flourishing Seris Magic Cards business as the technology spread.
  • Roland led research on the Indexing Spell and Yellow Millet Dream, while Gallo’s experiments killed apprentices and produced his rival Gallo’s Wisdom Enlightenment.

Roland stopped the Dark Game and restored Diego as a pact spirit, then became responsible for Lainer as political turmoil and foreign plots engulfed the kingdom. After Silaire’s death and the defeat of the elves, Rosa chose to unite Lainer and take control of its future with Roland’s support.

  • Diego defeated Jonis in the tournament, but Selad’s Dark Game later trapped Domuan and forced Roland to duel Selad, whom he defeated using the Yellow Emperor and Xingtian’s equipment.
  • Piero summoned the Abyssal Legion during the final, and Roland’s Wish ended the Dark Game, allowing the demons to be defeated and the Church Knights to capture Piero.
  • Roland summoned Diego’s soul through a poem and a Legendary Card, then became acting tower master while the Arcane Committee investigated Piero and Gallo.
