Slowly opening his eyes as he drifted awake, Li Hongjiu saw a familiar face before him: Shi Chun.
He felt as though he had slept for a very, very long time, and even wondered whether he was still alive. Li Hongjiu looked around, heard the waves, and saw the blue sea. He immediately scrambled up, still very weak. Looking at his severed arm, he could not help smiling bitterly.
After using his power to examine his condition, he realized he must have been receiving treatment for some time. His injuries had stabilized. "Are we out of danger?" he asked.
Shi Chun sighed. "We tried everything to escape death. Thank goodness for those magical treasures we got in the Divine Fire Domain."
Li Hongjiu looked around. They were clearly on another island. "Why are we out at sea again?"
"Lots of space, few people. It's harder to find us," Shi Chun said. "Besides, Brother Hongjiu, I still need your help with that little insight of mine. Can you still control the Thunder Sword in your condition?"
This time, Li Hongjiu gave Shi Chun a somewhat complicated look, but wasted no words. Shortly after confirming that the place was safe, a tornado rose over the sea again. Rolling black clouds surged into the sky, followed by thunderbolts crisscrossing with the magnificent might of heaven.
The brilliant light that suffused everything within the misty tornado reappeared. The Heaven-Shaking Thunder Sword seemed to pierce the void from beyond the heavens, striking Shi Chun with a single slash.
Once again, Li Hongjiu saw the ancient-looking image of an azure lotus burst from Shi Chun's body at the moment of impact, swaying gracefully.
Once they confirmed they could stop, the wind gradually subsided and the clouds dispersed. The one-armed Li Hongjiu and Shi Chun floated down
