Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang pursued a way into the Divine Mountain while evading the Extreme Fire Sect and other watchers, then returned using Jin Zhan’s Command Arrow to search for the invisible Soul-Returning Tree. The arc left them waiting among the trees as Qiu Ben discovered Huang Yingying was imprisoned at the Labor Office.

• Wu Jinliang and Huang Yingying escaped underground after Wu killed a Divine Mountain lackey, but Huang Yingying was later arrested and sent to the Divine Mountain as a slave.
• Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang left the Book Hall, took work at Bai Qiru’s rice shop, and traveled to the city beneath the Divine Mountain to pursue Huang Yingying and investigate the mountain’s protective formation.
• Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang drew attention from the Extreme Fire Sect, Lou Xiu, and Yin Xu while staying at the Vermilion Jade Pavilion, where Shi Chun asked Lou Xiu to arrange a visit to the Divine Mountain.
• Lou Xiu escorted Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang through the Northern Dipper Spirit-Repelling Formation, but they left without meeting Huang Yingying after Shi Chun found no Soul-Returning Tree in the Northern District.
• Wu Jinliang tested Jin Zhan’s Command Arrow and confirmed it let him pass through the mountain’s grand formation, while the Extreme Fire Sect and Po Yuan identified the visitors and watched their movements.
• Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang slipped out of Dazhi City and reentered the Divine Mountain with the Command Arrow, using Shi Chun’s right-eye ability to avoid sentries and find the invisible Soul-Returning Tree.
• Shi Chun stopped Wu Jinliang from searching openly and led him to a secluded spot among the trees to wait for midnight, while Qiu Ben and Po Yuan found Huang Yingying imprisoned at the Labor Office.

Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang sought Death-Defying Incense while the Extreme Fire Sect and Phoenix Clan tightened their pursuit. The incense opened a passage to the Nether Realm and awakened their treasures, but a search force tracked them down as Shi Chun headed for Dazhi City.

• Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang met Jin Fu, who accepted Jin Zhan’s jade tablet and explained how to refine Death-Defying Incense.
• Granny Qi revealed the Bai Clan’s history with the Golden-Haired Rat Clan and agreed to mobilize the Bai to refine the incense.
• The Phoenix Clan and Extreme Fire Sect arrested Bai clanspeople, but Wu Jinliang led Chu Jingtang, Lao Changhai, and Xiao Sheng through an underground escape route.
• Shi Chun recovered Death-Defying Incense and discovered that its smoke could revive the dead and open a passage into the Nether Realm.
• Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang entered the Nether Realm, met Lao Xi at Wandering River, and escaped through the passage with knowledge of the Six Realms Exchange.
• Shi Chun sent Chu Jingtang and Lao Changhai into the Nether Realm to investigate, then used the Boundless Banner and incense to restore their magical treasures.

Shi Chun evaded his pursuers, gathered Soul-Returning Trees, and arranged apprenticeships and favors through Li Hongjiu and the Red-Clad Woman. After preparing Death-Defying Incense, he opened a passage to the Nether Realm and contacted Chu Jingtang, while the Red-Clad Woman sensed the opening.

• Shi Chun escaped an attack by killing Yin Tianlu and many pursuers, while the gray-clad Demon Sixteen arrived to hunt him down.
• Fu Que fought Demon Sixteen in the Library Pavilion and drove him off, while Shi Chun hid in the Book Hall and later revealed his identity to Ruojun.
• Shi Chun worked with the Red-Clad Woman to secure Bai Qiru’s release and arrange for Li Hongjiu to take Dong Liangying as a disciple.
• Shi Chun secretly gathered nearly two hundred Soul-Returning Trees from Divine Mountain and evaded the Red-Clad Woman’s search.
• Shi Chun brought Li Hongjiu to the Book Hall, where Li Hongjiu accepted Dong Liangying as his disciple and the Red-Clad Woman gave Shi Chun a ring.

Shi Chun tested ways to travel between the realms while evading the Red-Clad Woman’s watchers, then uncovered a Demonic Path plot and joined Situ Gu in trying to rescue Zhen'er. The arc ended with Situ Gu accepting Dong Liangyi as his disciple while Zhen'er faced an attempt to extract the secrets from her mind.

• Shi Chun tested soul-capturing bags and Nether Realm corpses, then traveled with Wu Jinliang to the Royal Court and escaped after a corpse revived in the Queen’s room.
• Shi Chun spotted Demonic Path operatives abducting Zhen'er from the Heavenforging Sect and raised the alarm, then asked Situ Gu to help rescue her.
• Shi Chun accompanied Situ Gu to Divine Mountain, where he identified Huang Ye and Jiang You'er as Demonic Path operatives and helped Situ Gu capture Jiang You'er.
• Shi Chun interrogated Jiang You'er, learned that Huang Ye led him and that Lou Xiu was another operative, then sent the Red-Clad Woman to investigate.
